Jim Bloodgood

Jim Bloodgood's love for percussion began at an early age when he'd play with drumsticks made from cardboard tubes to the beat of a Beatles song playing in the background.

Born in Oakland, CA, Jim began playing drums at the age of seven. Influenced by the works of Ringo Starr, John Bonham and Eddie Bayers, Jim knew early on that his goal in life was to pursue a career in music.

Jim played in several different bands over the years, some of which were with Christian Taylor. When the day came that Christian and Wally Kurth decided to turn the duo they had created into an entire band, Christian didn't hesitate to call Jim to recruit his talents in percussion and vocal harmonies.

When asked his thoughts on being in the music industry, Jim replied "I feel very fortunate to work with the great bunch of guys involved in Kurth & Taylor. They're the best and we have a great time together."

Jim Bloodgood has been married to his wife Jodi for thirteen years and has an extended family of cats and dogs.
