Christian Taylor can't remember a time when he wasn't fascinated by the power of music. Given that and a half-brother who also sings, writes music and plays the guitar, it seems musical talent is in his blood. He spent his childhood years in the Bay Area and then moved to Santa Cruz, California, where he met Pat McCormack, Jim Bloodgood and Nick Chetkovich. The final element of Kurth & Taylor clicked when Christian moved to Sonora, California in 1978, and met Lee Beverly. For such a soft-spoken guy, Christian has some big dreams for his music. Not in terms of winning awards and making money, but in terms of his desire to affect people. "I want to realize on CD or in concert the music I hear in my head and heart." Together, they formed the group Christian says he admires "as much as anyone because they have hearts of champions." |
